It is a private, self-financed institution, recognized by the government and the Universities Grants Commission (UGC). Founder and Director Balvir S. Tomar founded the university in 2004. Since then, the university has earned the reputation of providing quality education to students and has become a prestigious institution for pursuing medical and technical studies.
The NIMS University Jaipur was established in 2008 and is one of the few private universities in the city that offers more than 300 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The university is also offering online distance programs in selected courses and offers MBA, PG, PhD, and diploma programmes for the academic session 2020-21. The MBA course offered by the university is ranked as the 92nd-best private institution in India by India Today.
